Get ready, Culture House family and friends, because something truly special is springing forth for you this March! Our School of Theatre is thrilled to present your new favorite classic show..."She Loves Me." A dreamy, witty, and oh-so charming musical featuring our incredibly talented advanced musical theatre performers.
Now, you might be thinking, "She Loves... who? I haven't heard of that one!" While this musical might not be as instantly recognizable as some other Broadway giants, trust us when we say it's a hidden gem that has been enchanting audiences for decades – and it's about to embrace you!
A Love Story That Sparked a Classic... Twice!
Imagine two people who can't stand each other in real life, constantly bickering and disagreeing. Yet, they both secretly pour their hearts out in anonymous letters to a mysterious pen pal, unaware that their beloved correspondent is actually their workplace rival! Sound familiar?
That's the timeless premise of "She Loves Me," and if it rings a bell, it's because this delightful story has inspired not one, but two beloved Hollywood romantic comedies!

The Original: It all started with the 1937 Hungarian play, Parfumerie.
The First Film Adaptation: In 1940, Hollywood turned it into the classic Jimmy Stewart and Margaret Sullavan film, "The Shop Around the Corner."
The Second Film Adaptation: And yes, you knew it...this very same storyline became the heartwarming 1998 hit, "You've Got Mail," starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.
So, if you loved watching Joe Fox and Kathleen Kelly's email romance unfold, you're going to adore "She Loves Me" and meeting Georg Nowack and Amalia Balash as they navigate their own charming, anonymous correspondence!
Why "She Loves Me" is a Perfect Fit for The Culture House
At The Culture House, we believe in the transformative power of theatre – stories that uplift, inspire, and bring joy. "She Loves Me" is a perfect reflection of these values. It's a show brimming with:
Whimsical Romance: A genuinely sweet and funny love story that reminds us of the magic of connection.
Beautiful Music: A gorgeous score by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick (the same brilliant minds behind Fiddler on the Roof!) that will leave you humming.
Heartfelt Laughter: Clever lyrics and delightful characters guarantee plenty of smiles and giggles.
This production offers our advanced performers a unique opportunity to delve into the nuances of classic musical theatre, hone their comedic timing, and deliver truly moving vocal performances. At rehearsals, we're constantly amazed as they pour their hearts into bringing this charming world to life...their dedication shining through every note and every scene.
