Drumming Rudimentals Camp - Half-Day Camp

June 10-14 : Ages: 9-14

Monday – Friday: 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. : Olathe Location

Showcase: Friday @ 12:00 p.m. Cost: $140

If you are interested in learning to apply the rudiments to your drumming, this is the camp for you. Students will learn to apply the rudiments to both snare drum and drum set. Each day will include a warm up sequence, and new set of rudimental applications, and musical applications. There will be a short showcase on Friday at 12:00 for parents.

Recording Studio Basics - FULL-Day Camp

June 24-28: Ages: 13-18

Monday – Friday: 9:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. : Olathe Location

Cost: $250

This camp is a full scale immersion into the recording studio. Students will be taught the basics of signal flow, microphone selection, digital audio workstation, tracking, eq and effects. The students will gain hands on experience working in the studio while tracking professional musicians. This camp is a must for young musicians who aspire to record their own music.

Songwriting & Music Theory for Beginners - Half-Day Camp

July 8-9 : Ages: 12 and up.

Thursday – Friday: 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. : Olathe Location

Cost: $80

Students that attend this camp will learn the building blocks for both writing their own music as well as understanding how other songs are written. In addition, students can expect to learn how good melodies and chord progressions are created, all through looking at well known music as examples.

Intermediate Songwriting & Improvisation for Songwriters - Half-Day Camp

July 8-9 : Ages: 12 and up.

Thursday – Friday: 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. : Olathe Location

Cost: $80

This camp is a must for any aspiring songwriters or musicians that want to learn to improvise well. This is a follow up camp for students that want to do deeper study. Students that attend this camp will learn the building blocks for both writing their own music as well as understanding how other songs are written. In addition, students can expect to learn how good melodies and chord progressions are created, all through looking at well known music as examples.

Marimba FUNdamentals - Half-Day Camp

July 15-16 : Ages: 12-15

Monday – Tuesday: 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. : Olathe Location

Showcase: Tuesday @ 12:00 p.m. Cost: $80 Location: Olathe Conservatory

Marimba FUNdamentals is a camp for young percussionists looking to expand their understanding of marimba technique and literature. Students will learn the fundamentals of 2 and 4 mallet technique, basic music theory, and get an introduction to beginning marimba literature.

Girl Power Music Workshop - FULL-Day Camp

July 29-Aug 2 : Ages: 8-18

Monday – Friday: 9:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.

Cost: $190 : Location: The Culture House Stage & Studio at Oak Park Mall

Get your voice on girls and learn what it means to be an inspirational and positive female leader!! Sharpen your singing skills and learn about harmony, pitch and singing in a group. Our Girl Power group will put together a performance of ‘girl’ songs to inspire and motivate! The main focus of this camp is not just singing and performing, but more about the value of finding strength through kindness, love, faith, inspirational words and leadership.
