photo-jeremiahThe Culture House is a not for profit 501(c)3 arts organization located in Olathe, Kansas, USA. Founded in 1996 by Jeremiah and Mona Enna, The Culture House is committed to influencing communities through artistic expression and the development of intellectual and moral faculties through education.

We at the Culture House believe that art has the power to change not only the individual but also communities on a local, national an international level. We believe strongly that people who are educated in the arts do better in all areas of life and that communities are improved through the aesthetic expressions of performance and fine art.

Through its Academy of the Arts, TCH educates children and adults in Dance, Theater, Music and other performance and fine arts. Our goals are not only to educate students of all levels in the mechanical techniques of their art, but to also give each student an appreciation of the arts through its creation and expression. In addition, we believe that everyone is creative and discovering ones creativity is one of life’s great joys.

Without excellent artistic expression, no community will fully prosper. Since its beginning, TCH has been committed to the support of artists whose aesthetic expression of creativity is directed at the positive influence of local communities.

As a result of this commitment, The Culture House has provided support for some of the areas finest professional artist including musicians Jay Pfeifer, Brandon Graves, Luke Sullivant, Jeff Scheetz and others. Through Culture House Studios, TCH has become a national destination for music production and recording by local and national artists including Sara Groves, Don & Lori Chaffer, Andrea Hamilton, Jay Pfeifer and others. In addition, The Culture House has been proud to be the home of Störling Dance Theater since 1996. Under the artistic direction of internationally recognized choreographer, Mona Störling-Enna, Störling Dance Theater has prospered as one of the finest independent dance companies in the Midwestern United States.

Through its innovative performances of “The Prodigal Daughter”, an adaptation of an ancient biblical story retold in a powerful expression of the modern depravity of man and the hope that lies beyond, to the socially powerful telling of the impact of Alzheimer’s on families and individuals in “Butterfly” Störling has inspired and challenged its audiences. Because of this commitment to excellence, the Kansas City Star has recognized Störling’s performances as “…totally successful dance theater” and named The Prodigal Daughter one of Kansas City’s top performances of the year in 2004.

The Culture House also believes that no organization can truly impact its community in a positive way if it forgets those less fortunate and at risk. In 2003, TCH began the STAR Program. Under the direction of artist and community leader Marc Wayne the STAR educates youth at risk, developing imagination and learning skills giving them the tools to create a better life for themselves and others.
