Justin Song

While attending The Hamilton Music Academy in Los Angeles (1988-1991), Justin received first-rate education in Music Theory, History, and also in various performance group performances; such as percussion ensemble, marching band, and Jazz band, alongside his many talented school peers; Abe Laboriel Jr., Vernell Brown Jr., and Trevor Lawrence Jr.

During his service of 4 years in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman, Justin has played with various bands while serving overseas (Jacara Lounge band, Man on a Stick, and Morning Star).

Relocating to Kansas City with his wife in 2001 to complete his Collegiate education in Psychology and Philosophy, Justin is currently serving as a worship team drummer in Metro Christian Fellowship in Grandview, MO. and is performing locally with other musicians from the Culturehouse Music Academy. His band, “Waking Lucy” has also recorded their first project in The Culturehouse Music Studios this summer.

 

Justin is currently accepting students of all ages; beginning young drummers to intermediate/advanced drum-kit musicians. (Fundamental rudiments: including theory, various styles of Rock, Blues, and Funk drumming).

 

Available teaching hours: Mon-Fri. 10am- 2pm, and Saturdays 9am – 7pm.
