Jay received his classical training at the UMKC Conservatory by concert artist Richard Cass, where in 1996 he met singer/songwriter Don Chaffer, who soon added Jay to his new band Waterdeep.
Jay continued to perform and record with Waterdeep until 1998 and has been featured on 4 of the band's albums. Since his departure from Waterdeep, Jay has split his time between teaching in Overland Park, KS, recording as a session musician on a number of albums, performing with local jazz bands, and composing and arranging music for dance, musical theater, and independent albums.
Jay now serves as the Director of the Culture House School of Music in Olathe, KS and an assistant to the Worship Director at The United Methodist Church of The Resurrection in Leawood. -
Andi FredricksonPiano & Voice

Andi Fredrickson has been performing for the last 30 years! She started singing in revivals with her family when she was 5 years old. Andi has been teaching piano and voice for 15 years. After graduating from the University of Kansas with her bachelors degree in Music Education, she taught general music in the public schools for 7 years (Kansas City, Kansas and Gardner, Kansas). Andi also has completed 75 hours of graduate work in Music History, Choral Conducting, Education and Vocal Performance. Andi has sung all over the world including Carnegie Hall, New York City; Magdaline College at Oxford College, Oxford, Uk,; Eddington, Uk, Manheim, Germany; and all over the US. Andi currently plays in a band, Fredrickson Hill (which won "Best Original Song of the Year, 2006) and she just won "Best Female Vocalist of the Year, 2007" with King Cat Music. She also serves at Church of the Resurrection and Resurrection West with her husband Scott. Andi lives in Olathe with her husband an d 4 sons. -

Jeff Scheetz has released 7 CDs, including the highly successful Pawn Shop, released on Bandai in Japan. He is well respected in the educational field and has released an instructional video, a book/CD combination, and most recently a 4 CD-rom course called Rock Solid, and a single CD-rom course called Rock Tricks. He has been featured in all the major Guitar mags: Guitar Player, Guitar FPM, Guitar World, Burrn (Japan), Hot Guitar (Korea), Cross Rhythms (Europe) and many more. He has been endorsed by Yamaha guitars, Ernie Ball Strings, Avlex mics, DC Cases. He has performed 300 guitar clinics across the country for Yamaha Guitars. He has toured the U.S., Mexico, and Europe, doing shows with the Scorpions, Cheap Trick, Joan Jett, Eric Johnson, ELO, .38 Special, Jeff Healey, Steve Vai and more. -

Brandon has played over 600 live shows in 39 States and performed on over 30 recordings with various artists including Waterdeep, Don Chaffer, Darrell Evans, Sandra McCracken, Derek Webb, Alli Rogers, Paul Wright and Sara Groves. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Percussion Performance at Washburn University under the instruction of Dr. Tom Morgan. Brandon also plays with the ambient electronic band Urban John, and is a member of the critically acclaimed art rock band The Khrusty Brothers. His former teachers include Tom Aungst, Mike Stevens, Kevin Bobo, Ed Argenziano, Doug Auwarter and Todd Strait. Brandon is an active clinician, arranger and adjudicator in the Kansas and Missouri area and is fluent in snare drum, drumset and marching percussion techniques. Brandon Graves is the Faculty Percussion Instructor at The Culture House in Olathe, KS. where he teaches a full studio of private students. He is also the drumline instructor for the Blue Springs High School Golden Regiment. The Golden Regiment is a Bands of America Super Regional Finalist and Grand Nationals Semi-Finalist. Brandon is a Yamaha Artist/Clinician, a member of the Vic Firth educational team. -

Todd Burd currently teaches choral music at Gardner-Edgerton High School and also has a private voice studio. His passion for music and religion also lead him to be the choral director at Bonner Springs United Methodist Church.
Todd's training is varied in conducting, classical voice, music theatre and jazz. He has a bachelor's degree in Business, Vocal Music and Education from Bethany College. His postgraduate studies include conducting at Wichita State University, Education at Baker University and Vocal Performance at Trinity College in London, England.
Todd Burd's performing career includes everything from Opera to Musical Theatre to Jazz. Classical venues across Europe and the United States include Oratorio, Opera and Song Recitals. His music theatre roles included Liebes Lieder in "A Little Night Music", Enjorlas in "Les Miserable" and Jekyl in "Jekyl and Hyde" and Tommy in "Brigadoon".
Music is a passion for Todd. One quote he often frequents is, "Music is what feelings sound like." -

Scott Rettedal has been playing guitar for 15 years, and teaching lessons since 2001. He received a bachelors degree in music from Oral Roberts University with a concentration in classical guitar performance. He plays a variety of styles, including rock, blues, folk, classical, jazz, and world music. He has played in bands for the past 11 years and plays regularly in the Kansas City area with other instructors from the Culture House. In 2007, he released his first solo album, "Restoration Harbor." He is currently pursuing a masters' degree in music therapy from the University of Kansas. -

Daniel Boothe just moved to Kansas City from New York. He has been a professional musical theatre actor for ten years, and attended Webster University's Conservatory of the Performing Arts where he studied acting, music and vocal performance. As a vocal instructor, he emphasizes technique and overall excellence that transfers to the professional stage. -

Mandy graduated with a BA in Musical Theater and Vocal Performance from North Central College in Naperville, IL. She has performed with many companies including Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Musical Theater Heritage, and Light Opera Works, and with several choirs, ensembles, bands, and orchestras. She currently studies classical voice with Dr. Rebecca Sherburn at UMKC.
Mandy absolutely loves teaching music! She encourages her students to improve and perform with passion and excellence, while never forgetting the fun and excitement that studying music brings. Her students are given the opportunity to perform in quarterly recitals, where family and friends can witness their musical growth! Mandy also performs as a jazz singer in the KC area. Chuck Butler has been playing guitar for 34 years, and teaching lessons since 1986. Chuck plays a variety of styles, including rock, blues, worship, southern rock, and metal. He has performed in both Christian and secular bands for years based in Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, and Kansas. He also dabbles in the black arts of guitar and tube amp set up and repair.
Chuck Butler currently teaches choral music at Lincoln College Preparatory Academy High School and also has a private voice studio. In addition to electric and acoustic guitar and bass, chuck also has expertise in conducting, classical voice, music theory and composition. He has a Bachelors and Masters degree in Vocal Music Education from Arkansas State University, where he studied with Julia Lansford and Alfred Skoog. In 2011, He was soloist with the Lincoln Prep Band on a musical tour of Beijing and Xi'an China. Chuck has performed in a wide variety of styles including opera, musical theatre, worship music, blues, and heavy metal. -

Sally Finck is a native of Washington, Missouri and has played piano for over 20 years! She was introduced to traditional, classical piano and theory by her grandmother. Later she completed a Bachelor of Arts at St. Louis University, and a Master of Arts in Piano Performance from the University of Central Missouri. From 2006-07 Ms. Finck pursued doctoral studies at the University of Kansas, under Richard Reber. She has been a competitor with the National Federation of Student Musicians, the Missouri Music Teachers Association, and the Music Teachers National Association. Her experience in accompanying has included college juries, district and state competitions, recitals and musicals. She has taught for over 10 years, and believes you're never too old to learn music! Other interests, in no particular order, include Broadway composers, film music transcription and composition, dancing, singing, coffee, house decor, church, chess, running, gardening, travel and rooting for KU basketball - Rock Chalk Jayhawk! -
