The Culture House School of Theater places emphasis on skill, character development, vocal projection and articulation, emotional range, imagination, singing, dancing, improvisation, and group participation. Opportunities include working with contemporary material as well as ancient works, modern musicals to Shakespeare, Reader’s Theatre to full-scale productions. At The Culture House, we feature a sequential theatre training program to allow our students to more easily track their progress. At each developmental level, students may enroll in not only acting training, but also classes in improvisation, auditioning, movement, and vocal technique.
The Visual Arts are a new, exciting offering here at The Culture House. With our national award-winning instructor, Matt Fox, our students have the opportunity to explore traditional and digital visual art opportunities. From animation and cartooning to more traditional drawing classes and photography, the chances to express yourself continue to expand.
Whether it is expressing our heartfelt emotions, raising our spirits, or uniting all of humanity through its power and beauty, music has become integral to our daily lives. Music also has a broad range of benefits in the healthy development of every child. The discipline needed to learn a musical instrument combined with the creativity and expressiveness that brings music to life stimulates the healthy development of our minds and personalities. Classes include private voice and private instrument lessons, as well as our Homeschool Choir and Showtunes Showoff.
