From Christiane... Bonjour! We are excited to spend this year with all of you. The Culture House has become, as some students will say, a second home away from home. It is a community where I am thrilled to see students growing and learning together while forging life long friendships.
The School of Dance is blessed to have some of the finest teachers in Kansas City. Each teacher is here to encourage and challenge each student to become their best at whatever level they are at.
“Dancers Are the Athletes of God”. - Albert Einstein
Our student body ranges from 3 to 50 years old and it is our goal us to see each student grow and excel. Each student is taught to encourage one another and in so doing, develop a wonderful spirit of joy.
It is our desire to see our students embracing these words: “Dancing with the feet is one thing, but dancing with the heart is another”
It is then with great joy and enthusiasm that the School of Dance will be producing “The Lion King” dance production for the end of the year performance (June 12 & 13). Join us for this delightful program featuring lovable and not so lovable characters such as Simba, Rafiki, Mufasa, Sarabi, Scar, Timon and Pumbaa. June 12&13, 2009 - Youthfront Auditorium
The Dance Academy is also the home of three different junior Performance Groups.

Störling Dance Theater's Artist Develoment Program For those interested in a career in dance, don't forget about The Störling Dance Theater Artist Development Program. Through its unique teaching curriculum, students will learn advanced techniques in Ballet and Modern dance as well as Jazz, Tap and Corporeal Mime (the physical theater technique that has shaped the powerful performances of Störling Dance Theater.) The program also provides courses in costume design and construction, choreography, lighting and set design. In addition to instruction in the various dance techniques, students participate in classroom studies of culturally and spiritually relevant literature, attend arts performances and exhibits throughout the city, engage in discussion groups of modern cultural thought, and learn the significance of Judeo-Christian thought as it relates to the arts as a whole. “When is doubt… DANCE!” and Have Fun!
